Back to school tomorrow! This probably makes it sound like I am super excited... Trust me. I am not. Term 3 is going to be ridiculously crazy with Pre-lim exams, plus formal, dance exam, dance competitions, study, homework, options, blogging! The list goes on. Therefore, this blog may get a little neglected. I will try my hardest, I promise.

Have a fabulous week next week everyone!

Inspiration! I have come across possibly my new favourite inspiring website. I've spent about an hour so far going through each page looking at some peoples amazing work. Please please take a look at Demilked, i promise you will not regret it!

I've recently came across some old photos on my computer of my friends and I. They were mostly taken about 2 or 3 years ago on my fujifilm finepix so the photos aren't the best quality. But I still enjoy looking back through them!

Two of the most amazing teenage photographers I have ever seen.. One day I hope to become as amazing as them. They have truly inspired me to work on what I know I can one day be good at. I am not kidding, this seems to be a massive turning point in my life time. I have competition, I have something to work towards, a dream I will one day fore fill. I hope that you all have dreams, and I hope you have the inspiration in your life to reach your dreams. Don't ever give up, because I have all faith in you.

    Just little things.

I've always wanted to, to leave inspirational/warm and fuzzy/smiley/ notes around the town/car window screens/anywhere that will be noticed! I think it would be such an amazing thing to do. Therefore I will be adding this to my OTTBBID list. I think that spreading a smile to strangers would be one of the biggest warm and fuzzy things you could do for yourself! One day, when life isn't so stressful this will happen! Have you ever done anything similar? Maybe not, so maybe you could give it a go too? And maybe you could share your stories here for everyone to see!

Holidays have just began here in New Zealand and I couldn't be more excited (except for the huge list of homework I need to get through). It has been one very loooooong term! The weather is great after weeks of rain and flooding which is hopefully a sign for an enjoyable two weeks!

Formal is in less than a month and my dress is only just beginning to be made. So, yes, I am a little bit worried but I have all faith in my mother to get it finished! And I am so excited! Don't panic, I will post photos after the 5th of August!

Stay safe! Sophie x

A friend of mine asked me to take photos for him while he was bmxing.
These are just a few of the ones that I took for him in -3 degrees!

Just recently I got back from Christchurch and what an eye opener it was! Evidence of the February 22nd Earthquake still lingers around the city. The roads even on the outskirts of Christchurch are rough and liquefaction still rests besides the broken roads. My family and I drove around the CBD as close as we could get so we could see some of the devastation first hand. It was one of the saddest moments of my life. I guess growing up in New Zealand where there has never been such violent nature disasters as close to home as this made it worse. There is no area in and around Christchurch where there is no evidence of this disaster. I guess to understand how terrible it was you really do have to experience it for yourself.

However, it was truly beautiful seeing the people of the city come together and help each other out. The buildings weren't strong enough to make it through but the people were. This was the most amazing part. It truly makes me love this country even more. I love New Zealand and everything about it. Sure enough other countries are just the same. But New Zealand is home and we will do everything to keep Christchurch together. Stay strong.
